Novel applications of PET in monitoring immune system activation throughout the body and cancer treatment stratification and assessment of therapeutic responses are needed to meet the demands of personalized medicine. 18F-FAC is a new molecular diagnostic to image activation of the immune system and to aid in determining patient selection and drug doses in select cancers. This builds on the success of 18F-FDG PET as the gold standard for cancer diagnosis, staging, detection of disease recurrence, and therapeutic responses.
We are dedicated to the continual development of PET probes to assist basic and clinical scientists as they study the biological transformation of normal cellular functions into a disease state. It’s our mission to help guide the discovery and development processes leading to the widespread use of molecular therapeutics. Developing semi-automated chemistry modules for onsite synthesis of 18F-FAC, and other probes, is an example of this commitment.
